Mission Statement

My photo
Pittsburgh, PA, United States
The Pittsburgh area clay community was happy to hear that NCECA was coming to our town. We have worked many years to see this happen and want to make this event the best ever. With less than eleven months until show time, we decided to form an organization to assist the conference planners. Our first priority was to provide information to all stake holders including government officials, businesses, foundations, museums, galleries, schools and universities. We are making lists of area resources, identifying funding sources and brain storming ideas for shows and gallery space. NCECA will soon name the on-site liaison and we are prepared to assist that person. Our next goal is to get the news about Pittsburgh to the membership; things like where to eat, how to dress, how to dance, where to stay and how to speak the Yinzer language. We welcome new members to the Pittsburgh Clay Underground but a word of caution from Charlie Daniels: "never lay your hand on a Pittsburgh Steeler fan!" Take his advice and we promise that all will have a great experience in the "BURGH". Please save a place for me on your dance card for Friday March 21, 2008. Best Regards, Commandante X

NCECA is a few months closer now. The Pittsburgh Clay Underground is making preparations for the conference in March. Please note some additions to artists and gallery space.
Thank you.
